Recovery Housing Stigma Workshop While the physical effects of drug and alcohol abuse pose as obstacles to recovery, the mental limitations caused by public stigma over addiction may contribute to an individual’s hesitance as well. For that reason, pushing through public perception and getting treatment can be a difficult transition for some people.  Objectives of this workshop:  Recovery oriented options that are available within the system for prevention.  Principles/Values, mutual trust & respect; transparency.  Ethical accountability, openness of communication, commitment for self-evaluation.      Disclaimer: Funding for this training was made possible (in part) by the Ohio Opioid STR Project- 1H79TI080261- 01 grant from SAMHSA.
